Award-winning guitarist
Ben Randall is fast gaining a reputation as one of the rising
guitar stars of his generation.
Ben won the
Guitar Idol “Most Promising Young Guitarist” title sponsored by
Rockschool when just 17 with a
field of over 750 international entrants. Ben's entry was called 'Before
The Rain'.
Now 18, Ben continues to gain admirers for his blend of melodic and
metal rock and has been working on sessions and new material after a
spell in the melodic/power metal band Power Quest.

Ben gives guitar lessons online, or in person (Wirral/Chester
area).
He specialises in rock and metal guitar styles, and offers structured
tuition, ensuring that students have goals and can progress quickly.
Lessons are tailored specifically to what the student wants to learn -
techniques, music theory, recording techniques, even how to set up the
guitar!
Ben says: 'When I started playing guitar, I found it very difficult
to find a teacher who could teach metal/rock guitar, especially soloing
techniques.'
'As a
result, I decided to teach myself, but I always wished I could have had
a teacher who specialised in this style of playing, as I feel this would
have been inspiring and helped my progression. This is exactly what I
offer my students.'

There is no need to bring your own equipment - there is high quality
Hughes and Kettner amplification available to use, as well as an
assortment of guitars!
